July 21, 2018 - Earl Pearson Jr. Scores Late-Race Victory at Brown County; Top 5 Finish in Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway
1 On Tuesday night Earl Pearson Jr. returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, South Dakota) for the Bullet Sportswear Shootout. Drawing 24 Super Late Models, Pearson Jr. jumped up one spot in 10-lap heat scoring a 3rd place finish. Earning the 8th-starting position for the A-Main, Earl navigated his way through the field early setting his eyes on race-leader Bobby Pierce by lap-40. With a side-by-side duel going on in the next ten laps, Pearson Jr. overtook Pierce for good on lap-48 en route to his fourth win of the season and a $10,000 payday. The following night at Jackson Motorplex (Jackson, Minnesota) for the Sturdevant’s Auto Parts 50, Earl locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting in 11th, Pearson Jr. gained one spot to place 10th.

Thursday night brought 43 LOLMDS entries to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) for the Malvern Bank Go 50. Coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish, Earl logged a 5th place finish in his B-Main forcing him to rely on a provisional into the show. Starting in 23rd, Pearson Jr. passed seven cars in the 50-lapper reeling in a 16th place outing.

Returning on Friday evening for two rounds of heat races, Pearson Jr. passed three cars in his first heat reeling in a 2nd place finish behind Hudson O’Neal. Starting in 6th in his second heat, Earl jumped up three spots to place 3rd.

July 14, 2018 - Pearson Jr. Wins NAPA Know How 50 at Tri-City Speedway
1Friday night saw the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) in action at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) for the NAPA Know How 50. In a field of 26 cars, Pearson Jr scored a 3rd place finish in his heat locking him in the 9th-starting spot for the opening night feature. Pacing his way to the front, Earl slipped by race-leader Jimmy Owens on lap-37 and held off the field in the remaining 13 circuits to capture his fourth win of the season over Owens, Tim McCreadie, Mason Zeigler, and Bobby Peirce. On Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the CMH Diamond Nationals, Earl landed a 2nd place finish in his heat positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the $12,000-to-win finale. Passing two cars in the 50-lap affair, Pearson Jr. scored a 3rd place finish behind Scott Bloomquist and Mason Zeigler with Will Vaught and Jimmy Owens completing the Top-5 finishers.

July 6, 2018 - EPJ Follows Lucas Oil Series During Fourth of July; 9th Place Finish in Grassy Smith Memorial at Cherokee
On Monday night Earl Pearson Jr. returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio) for the Steel Valley 50. With 27 Super Late Models registered in for action, Pearson Jr. started the night off with a heat race victory positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the feature. With $12,000 on the line, Earl dropped five spots to place 7th.

The following night at Muskingum County Speedway (Zanesville, Ohio), Earl came up one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main, Pearson streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory locking him into the 17th-starting position for the feature. Running into trouble near the halfway point of the feature, Earl Pearson Jr. brought out the lone caution of the race on lap-39 dropping him back to a 21st place outing.

1After Mother Nature postponed Thursday’s event at Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, North Carolina), Pearson Jr. visited Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) on Friday for the Grassy Smith Memorial. In a field of 30 cars, Earl logged a 5th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 6 into the show, Pearson Jr. scored a 12-lap consolation victory positioning him 17th on the starting grid for the $12,000-to-win A-Main. July 1, 2018 - Top 5 Finish in Freedom 50 at Mansfield Motor Speedway
Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Earl Pearson Jr. made the trek to Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) on Saturday night for the Independence 50. In a field of 38 cars, Earl locked his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Jason Jameson. Starting the feature in 5th, Pearson Jr. got collected in a tangle early that dropped him back to an 18th place outing.

1On Sunday 35 LOLMDS followers headed to Mansfield Motor Speedway (Mansfield, Ohio) for the Freedom 50. Starting the night off with a 10-lap heat race win, Earl earned the 4th-starting position for the $12,000-to-win A-Main.
