June 16, 2018 - Pearson Jr. Lands 6th Place Finish in Clash at the Mag
1 Friday night brought Earl Pearson Jr. to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Clash at the Mag. In a field of 28 Super Late Models, Pearson Jr. laid down the fastest time overall in qualifying before capturing a heat race victory. June 9, 2018 - EPJ Wins Late Night Thriller at Eldora Speedway
After Mother Nature wiped out Thursday night’s opener, Earl Pearson Jr. was one of 78 Super Late Models signed in at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Friday kicking off the 24th annual Dirt Late Model Dream. Following the seventh fastest time overall in qualifying, Pearson Jr. held his spot in his 10-lap heat race to place 4th. Earning the 16th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Earl passed six cars in the 25-lapper reeling in a 10th place outing.

1Later that evening for another round of preliminary features, Earl registered the third fastest time overall in qualifying before landing a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Jon Henry. Rolling off 7th for the main event, Pearson Jr. worked his way into a podium spot by the halfway mark and set his eyes on race-leader Jonathan Davenport in the final 15 circuits. Slidding past Davenport on lap-17, Earl Pearson Jr. paced the field in the final laps to pick up his third win of the season and a $10,000 payday. On Saturday for the final night of the 24th annual Dirt Late Model Dream, Earl locked his spot into the $100,000-to-win finale with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Josh Richards. Rolling off 7th, Pearson Jr. slipped back to a 16th place outing in the 100-lapper.
