September 30, 2018 - 10th Place Finish in Dixie Shootout at Dixie Speedway
1Returning with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Earl Pearson Jr. was one of 44 Super Late Models signed in at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday night for the Dixie Shootout. The following night at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the Rome Showdown, Earl laid down the fastest time overall in qualifying before charging to a heat race victory. Earning the pole position for the $10,000-to-win finale, Pearson Jr. slipped back to a 16th place outing after visiting the infield pit-area to exchange a tire.

September 23, 2018 - Pearson Jr. Bags Top 10 Finish in Jackson 100 at Brownstown
On Friday evening Earl Pearson Jr. was one of 40 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries signed in at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the 39th annual Jackson 100. Timing in sixth fastest in his qualifying group, Earl locked into the 3rd-starting position for his heat on Saturday.

1With bad weather shifting Saturday’s program to Sunday, Earl came up one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Starting on the front row of his B-Main, Pearson Jr. captured a 12-lap consolation victory positioning him 18th on the starting grid for the main event. September 15, 2018 - 10th Place Finish in Knoxville Nationals Finale
1Earl Pearson Jr. followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) on Thursday night kicking off the 15th annual Knoxville Nationals. In a field of 57 cars, Pearson Jr. followed up the third fastest time in his qualifying group with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Earning the 7th-starting position for the $7,000-to-win opening night feature, Earl passed five cars in the 25-lapper reeling in a 2nd place finish behind Tyler Erb with Chad Simpson, Jimmy Owens, and Frank Heckenast Jr. completing the Top-5 finishers. Returning on Friday for another $7,000-to-win preliminary feature, Pearson Jr. came up one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 4th place finish. Needing to place 6th or better in his B-Main to make the show, Earl fell short with a 10th place outing.  

On Saturday night with his spot already locked into the $40,000-to-win finale, Earl Pearson Jr. dropped eight spots in the 100-lap affair registering a 10th place finish.

September 6, 2018 - EPJ Places in Top 10 in World 100 Opener at Eldora Speedway
On Thursday evening Earl Pearson Jr. was one of 101 Super Late Models signed in at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 48th annual World 100. With steady rain pushing back the event several hours, Pearson Jr. timed in tenth fastest in his qualifying group before placing 2nd in his heat behind Darrell Lanigan. Earning the 9th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Earl dropped one spot in the 25-lapper logging a 10th place finish.

Friday and Saturday's program was postponed by Mother Nature to October 12th and 13th.

September 2, 2018 - Pearson Jr. Places 2nd at Ponderosa Speedway
1Friday night brought 28 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) for the John Bradshaw Memorial. Posting a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Kyle Bronson, Pearson Jr. earned the 4th-starting position for the opening night feature. Overtaking Eddie Carrier Jr. for the lead on lap 6, Earl held the top spot for the next 21 circuits until Carrier Jr. regained the lead. With Mother Nature forcing officials to call the race on lap-30, Earl Pearson Jr. was credited with a 2nd place finish behind Carrier Jr. with Josh Richards, Jonathan Davenport, and Jared Hawkins completing the Top-5 finishers. The following night at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the Bob Miller Memorial, Pearson Jr. locked his spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Kyle Bronson. Rolling off 6th, Earl dropped three spots in the 50-lapper to place 9th.

On Sunday night 42 (LOLMDS) entries stopped at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) for the 50th annual Hillbilly 100. Grabbing the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race, Earl earned the 16th-starting position for the finale. With $50,000 on the line, Earl Pearson Jr. fell two spots in the 50-lap affair logging an 18th place outing.
