LOLMDS doubleheader brings EPJ to Bluegrass State

Friday night saw Earl Pearson Jr. return with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) for the 15th annual John Bradshaw Memorial. With 25 Late Models entered, Pearson Jr. secured his spot into the main event with a fourth-place finish in his heat race. The following night at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) for the Ralph Latham Memorial, Earl failed to transfer out of his heat race and B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $15,000-to-win A-Main. Coming three spots shy of a Top-10 finish, Pearson Jr. advanced forward 11 spots in the 60-lap affair to finish 13th.

Earl sits in 12th in the latest Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings.
